President
Dan Dickensheet is the founder of New Horizon Energy, a land and contract advisory firm serving oil & gas and renewable energy companies across Oklahoma and the surrounding region.
With a background rooted in land, leasing, and energy transactions, Dan helps operators, investors, and developers navigate the practical realities of acquiring acreage, structuring agreements, and solving complex land challenges. His work spans the full energy spectrum — from traditional oil and gas to wind and other renewable projects — with a focus on clarity, efficiency, and long-term value.
Dan is an active member of the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen (OCAPL) and the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL). He served as President of OCAPL in 2024 and has also chaired committees within AAPL, reflecting his commitment to leadership, professionalism, and the advancement of the land industry.
Known for his detail-oriented approach and his ability to bridge the gap between technical land issues and business objectives, Dan brings a steady, practical mindset to every project.
